About WeRize
India's first social distribution AI fintech platform for the underserved aspirational middle-class delivering Secured & Unsecured loans, Insurance, and Investment products across 5,000+ small cities of India (referred as India-2).
Founded in 2019, WeRize is at an annualized-run-rate of $60 Mn (Gross revenues) and $32 Mn (Net) and $7 Mn+ of net profits before taxes (3x Y-o-Y growth) with ROE > 20%.
We are projecting ~2x growth in topline and ~3x growth in profits over the next 12 months.
WeRize operates as a category creator three-sided marketplace connecting 17,000+ trained local freelancers with India-2 customers and partner financial institutions, all powered by a full-stack AI operating layer that creates a flywheel of trust with self-reinforcing network effects.
- Distributor trust: Freelancers are empowered through AI-led tools that help them act in the long-term best interests of their customers.
- Customer trust: End customers rely on WeRize's assisted distributor, data-driven recommendations across both asset and liability products.
- Manufacturer trust: Financial Institutions rely on WeRize's data, risk management and distribution intelligence to reach small city customers that they can't serve on their own.
Key highlights: What do we do:
- Large, underpenetrated market opportunity: India's 300 Mn+ aspirational middle-class captures ~30% of GDP, yet remains financially underserved across credit, insurance, and investments. Pure-digital models lack the required trust, while physical branches are economically unviable.
- Differentiated, asset-light social distribution: WeRize leverages 17,000+ financially literate freelancers across 5,000+ small cities. This branchless, zero-sales-team model delivers high-trust human touchpoints, superb unit economics, and strong freelancer retention through a broad product suite.
- Proprietary AI driven tech stack: Trained on 20 Bn+ data points across 4 Mn+ households, WeRize's AI powers end-to-end operations. For distribution, it optimizes lead gen, selling, and engagement - turning freelancers into professional advisors. For manufacturing, it sharpens risk management, underwriting, and product structuring for high-margin expansion.
