We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a remote-first team based in India. This role offers an opportunity to work on AI-powered research and intelligence systems that help organizations make sense of complex networks involving people, organizations, issues, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and Django.
- Design and optimize workflows with orchestration tools such as Prefect, Celery, or similar technologies.
- Implement and enhance features powered by large language models (LLM).
- Work closely with a small, ambitious engineering team, taking substantial ownership of projects.
- Contribute to solving challenging problems related to knowledge graphs and AI research workflows.
- Apply software engineering skills to projects focused on politics, government transparency, and public-interest domains.

Experience: 4 - 7 years
Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from 40 to 70 LPA, based on experience and demonstrated ability.
