About the role
We're hiring a hands-on Web Developer to own our sites day to day: building and maintaining
themes, shipping new pages and features, keeping the sites fast and stable, and fixing
production issues as they come up.
You'll report directly to our U.S. Web & Integrations Lead and work closely with our marketing
team, who drive most of the day-to-day requests: new landing pages, promotions, content
updates, campaign tracking, and email templates.
This is a high-throughput, ticket-driven role for someone who enjoys variety. One day you're
converting a design into a Shopify theme, the next you're debugging a product feed sync,
building a WordPress template, setting up campaign tracking, or chasing down a checkout
bug. You'll own your work end to end, from requirement to production.
This is a developer role, not a site-admin role. Beyond theme and content work, our sites run
on product data feeds, API integrations, and scheduled jobs that you'll maintain and extend.
What you'll do
Shopify development -
•Build and maintain Liquid themes: sections, blocks, templates, menus, footers, banners,
and landing pages.
•Convert designs (Figma or similar) into responsive Online Store 2.0 themes with reusable
sections.
•Work with metafields/metaobjects, product pages, collections, search, cart, and
account/wishlist UI.
•Set up and configure new storefronts as the business launches new brands.
WordPress development -
•Build and maintain custom themes and templates using PHP and Advanced Custom
Fields (ACF).
•Keep sites healthy: manage plugins, run theme/plugin/PHP updates, and handle
caching/CDN and performance.
•Handle site migrations and hosting moves when needed.
Marketing & campaign support -
•Build campaign landing pages, promo banners, and seasonal content on quick
turnarounds.
•Set up and verify tracking: GA4 events, Google Tag Manager containers, and
Meta/Google ad pixels.
•Support basic A/B tests and conversion experiments on landing pages and key flows.
Integrations & automation -
•Maintain and debug product data feed syncs between our PIM (Salsify) and the
storefronts, including image and spec-sheet pipelines.
•Build and maintain REST/JSON API integrations (ERP order submission, CRM forms, tax
and shipping services).
•Maintain scheduled jobs and small Shopify apps that move data between systems.
Content, merchandising & maintenance
•Publish new collections, products, images, spec sheets, and menu/landing-page updates.
•Pull and apply product content from data feeds and APIs, and fix display/data
mismatches.
Bug fixing & QA
•Diagnose and resolve production issues across search, cart, checkout, login/accounts,
forms, and UI.
•Test your own work before QA and turn around fixes quickly.
Required skills
•3+ years building and maintaining production Shopify and WordPress sites.
•Experience managing multiple sites/brands at once: juggling tickets, updates, and
deployments across a portfolio, not a single storefront.
•Shopify: strong Liquid templating, Online Store 2.0 sections/blocks,
metafields/metaobjects, theme customization, and Shopify CLI; working knowledge of the
Admin/Storefront API.
•WordPress: solid PHP, custom theme/template development, ACF, plugin management,
and safe maintenance of live sites.
•Front-end: fluent HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript (including jQuery in legacy
contexts); responsive, mobile-first development; cross-browser debugging.
•Tracking & analytics: hands-on with GA4 and Google Tag Manager; experience
installing and debugging ad pixels (Meta, Google).
•Performance: page speed and Core Web Vitals optimization on live sites.
•Integrations: experience building and debugging REST/JSON API integrations and
product data feed syncs; comfortable with webhooks, cron/scheduled jobs, and basic
SQL.
•Comfortable reading and taking over an existing codebase.
•Git-based workflow, staging-to-production deployments, and clean, documented code.
•AI development tooling: works efficiently with tools like Claude Code to increase ticket
throughput, and knows how to review and verify AI-generated code before shipping.
•Strong written English, reliable daily communication, and accurate time estimates on
tickets.
•Able to manage requests from multiple stakeholders, prioritize, and work independently
across time zones.
Nice to have
•Magento / Adobe Commerce experience.
•React experience (components, hooks, modern build tooling).
•Headless development: Shopify Hydrogen/Storefront API or headless WordPress with a
JS front end.
•Technical SEO and structured-data schema.
•PIM experience (Salsify or similar) and product data syndication.
•Shopify app development (custom apps, Admin API, webhooks).
•Hosted CDN setups (Fastly or similar) and WP Engine hosting.
