Role Description The VisionPlus Tester role is a full-time hybrid position based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this role, the tester will design, execute, and document test cases for VisionPlus and related card management systems, ensuring functional accuracy, performance, and compliance with business requirements. Daily responsibilities include analyzing requirements, preparing test scenarios, performing system, integration, and regression testing, and logging and tracking defects through resolution. The tester will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements, support user acceptance testing, and contribute to test plans and test data design. The role also involves maintaining test environments, preparing clear test reports, and suggesting process improvements to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in VisionPlus or similar card management platforms, with an understanding of credit/debit card lifecycle, transaction flows, and related banking/financial processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including test case design, execution, defect logging, regression testing, and functional/end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on skills with SQL or other query languages for validating data, performing backend testing, and troubleshooting issues in complex databases.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM) and basic exposure to automation frameworks is an advantage.
- Relevant knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance best practices, and documentation standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in test execution and reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a hybrid work model.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; prior experience testing VisionPlus or other financial services applications is highly preferred.
