Role Description The Video Editor role at Poppy Penguin is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos, including cutting, sequencing, adding transitions, and integrating audio to align with creative briefs and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the production and creative teams, applying color grading, incorporating motion graphics, and preparing different formats optimized for various digital platforms. The role also involves organizing media assets, maintaining consistent visual standards across projects, and contributing ideas to improve storytelling and audience engagement. The Video Editor will work closely with stakeholders to review drafts, implement feedback, and deliver high-quality content within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing with minimum 2 years of experience, with experience turning raw footage into compelling narratives.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent and appealing visual styles across projects.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
- Experience with industry-standard editing and post-production tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and the ability to work with brand guidelines and creative briefs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related discipline is beneficial; a portfolio demonstrating previous video work is required.
