About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our Creative Team. The candidate will be responsible for transforming raw footage, concepts, and creative briefs into engaging, high-quality video content for digital marketing, social media, advertising, and client projects.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video editing, storytelling, pacing, visual composition, and current digital content trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media, advertisements, websites, and other digital platforms.
- Understand creative briefs and convert concepts into engaging visual content.
- Trim, arrange, and enhance raw footage to create professional videos.
- Add transitions, text, subtitles, graphics, sound effects, music, and other visual elements as required.
- Ensure proper synchronization of audio, visuals, voiceovers, and background music.
- Create videos in different formats and aspect ratios based on platform requirements.
- Work closely with the Creative, Digital Marketing, Copywriting, and other teams to understand project requirements.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions within the given timelines.
- Maintain consistency in branding, visual style, fonts, colors, and messaging.
- Organize and maintain project files, footage, assets, and final outputs systematically.
- Stay updated with current video trends, editing styles, social media formats, and content best practices.
- Ensure all videos meet the required quality standards before final delivery.
- Follow company and client guidelines regarding the use of footage, music, graphics, images, and other creative assets.
- Complete assigned projects within agreed deadlines and maintain regular communication regarding project status.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of video editing principles and storytelling.
- Good understanding of composition, pacing, transitions, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to understand and execute creative briefs.
- Attention to detail and strong quality consciousness.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and editing trends.
- Basic understanding of social media content requirements is preferred.
Software / Tools
Experience with any of the following is preferred:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Audition
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, Film, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant skills and a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.
Portfolio Requirement
Candidates should be able to share a portfolio/showreel demonstrating their video editing skills.
The portfolio may include:
- Social media videos
- Reels/short-form content
- Advertisement videos
- Motion graphics
- Promotional videos
- YouTube videos
- Other relevant editing work
Working Conditions
- Work From Office at Mage Marketer, Wagholi, Pune.
- Candidates are expected to maintain regularity, punctuality, and continuity in their assigned work.
- Employees are required to follow company policies, creative guidelines, and reporting procedures.
- A personal laptop suitable for video editing is preferred/required as per role requirements.
