About the Role
We are building Validation Academy, a modern professional education platform focused on pharmaceutical, validation, scientific and career learning for audiences in India and the UK.
We are looking for a Video Editor & Social Media Manager who can manage our content operation from editing through publishing and performance monitoring.
We will record and provide the raw footage, subject-matter guidance and brand direction.
What You Will Do
Video Editing
We have approximately 35 long-form academy class videos planned.
You will:
* Edit raw class recordings into professional final videos
* Improve cuts, pacing, audio and colour
* Add captions, B-roll, graphics, motion graphics, animations and effects where required
* Make technical/educational content clear and engaging
* Create approximately 5 Reels/Shorts per week from our content
Social Media Management
Manage our company/academy accounts across:
YouTube · Instagram · Facebook · LinkedIn
Including:
* Content planning and calendar
* Scheduling and publishing
* Captions, titles and thumbnails
* Content repurposing
* Engagement monitoring
* Basic analytics and reporting
* Continuous improvement based on performance
Our goal is to find someone who can eventually manage:
Raw Footage → Editing → Reels/Shorts → Publishing → Social Media → Analytics → Improvement
Skills
We are looking for experience with:
* Professional video editing
* Reels/Shorts
* Storytelling and pacing
* Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro or equivalent
* After Effects / motion graphics is an advantage
* Canva/design tools
* Social-media management
* YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
* AI creative/editing tools are an advantage
* Good English communication
Preferred Background
Candidates with a science, engineering or pharmaceutical background are preferred, particularly:
* BSc Chemistry or other Science degrees
* B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharmaceutical Sciences
* Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences
* Engineering degrees
* Computer Science / IT
* Candidates with pharmaceutical, healthcare, GMP, Validation, Quality or manufacturing exposure
A pharma/science degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent editors/content creators who can understand technical subjects and are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.
We will teach the selected person our pharmaceutical/Validation subject matter and content standards.
Salary & Opportunity
₹25,000/month for the initial 6-month probation period.
After successful probation, strong performance may lead to:

Selection
Shortlisted candidates will complete a small practical editing test using the same raw footage so we can assess actual ability rather than relying only on CVs.
