- Job Purpose (In one or two sentences)
SNOC is centralized technology operation centre responsible to protect Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) revenue and Customer base of Mobility and Enterprise business by providing FCAPS for VIL PAN India network across all technologies and domains
Incident Management is one of the essential functions cutting across multiple Service domains (RAN, CORE, IP & TXN) in order to ensure achieve organizational objectives laid down for SNOC.
This position is Accountable/Responsible for IP operation SLA’s/MTTR, Identification of problems, analysis and implementation of corrective actions for all type of problems that may cause any service interruption or reduction in the Service quality of the customers.
- Responsible for the efficient running of the IP Network Operations to Manage and Maintain Network and Service KPIs for PAN INDIA VIL IP Network & portfolio of associated Services.
- Responsible for implementation of future-fit operational strategy to support for mobility & carrier grade network & Services. Build best team to deliver IP services for catering to mobile data/internet domain, evolve best in-class processes, tools, systems and people in line with Vodafone India’s mission of being No.1 player in mobile internet domain in India.
- Responsible for indirectly contribute to the overall performance of the network services delivery by way of effective proactive incident management by minimizing the adverse impacts of incidents and problems on the customer business caused by errors or by other means.
- Responsible to develop eco-system in SNOC Transport operations domain to support IP based data service growth ambitions of VIL & hence ensure to capture leadership position in customer experience of mobile internet services over IP/MPLS based networks.
- Responsible for implementation of standardized processes, procedures and tools across IP domains & with circles, various MS partners, corporate teams to ensure seamless customer experience, bring in synergy and drive cost leadership in IP NOC operations domain.
- Responsible for development of IP technology competence in the SNOC team to be future-fit IP ready organisation to deliver operational excellence.
- Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas (Max 5)
- Manage IP INM Operations and ensure Service availability as per defined SLAs
- Adhere to all developed/contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA) in association with specific Network & services.
- Achieve First Time Right. Minimize errors while working on incidents by means of process standardization.
- Coach and mentor NOC team to ensure that staff is working on issues as efficiently and accurately as possible in a team-oriented environment
- Prepare and deliver all reporting metrics in association with the 24/7/365 operations centre. Establishment of KPI’s to support SNOC quality initiatives, technology and process audits, Implement best-practice Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure adherence of contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA) in association with all stakeholders,
- Ensure manage Partner performance as per agreed SLA(provide support in critical and Major escalated cases, SIP for Network Improvement)

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
- Overall 15-20 years of experience in managing telecom networks and minimum 5 years of managing centralised NOC Operations in (IP/MPLS)
- Qualitative experience in Handling with proven track record
- Adapt in analysing information, system needs, evaluating end-user requirements, troubleshooting for complex system fault/configuration managements and successful track record of maintaining maximum uptime
- Strong Understanding & Experience in managing operational KPIs, TATs for network quality purpose, identification of faults/abnormalities traffic-trend analysis
- Should have the experience of leading very large and diversified team of engineers (200+) in 24*7 NOC environment covering below scale and volumes:

- Masters/Bachelors in Engg (E&TC Preferred)
