Role Description The Vessel Column Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for the design, analysis, and specification of process vessels and columns used in Green Hydrogen and related industrial applications. Day-to-day activities include preparing detailed engineering drawings and calculations, selecting appropriate materials and components, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. The role involves collaborating with process, mechanical, and project engineering teams to integrate vessel and column designs into overall plant layouts and EPC deliverables. The Vessel Column Engineer will review vendor documents, support procurement with technical inputs, and provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. The position also requires preparing technical reports, participating in design reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices and templates.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel and column design, including mechanical design calculations, sizing, and layout for process plants.
- Experience with relevant design codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, IS codes) and familiarity with safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in engineering design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, 2D/3D CAD software) and basic familiarity with analysis tools or software used for mechanical design.
- Understanding of process engineering fundamentals, including fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and equipment integration in chemical, power, or hydrogen-related projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline; advanced degree or relevant certifications in pressure vessel design are an advantage.
- Prior experience in EPC projects, fabrication or installation of process equipment, and coordination with vendors and construction teams.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and general arrangement drawings, and to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
