CORE TAXIT SOLUTIONS LLP is a specialized US tax services firm providing tax compliance, advisory, and outsourced tax support to individuals, businesses, and professional-services firms in the United States.
We are looking for an experienced US Tax Supervisor to join our growing team. The role is primarily focused on US individual income tax compliance and review, particularly Form 1040, while also involving pass-through entity returns and related tax matters.
This is a hands-on supervisory role that combines tax preparation, review, team coordination, client communication, and workflow management in a technology-enabled remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Form 1040 individual income tax returns, including complex federal and state filings.
- Prepare and review Forms 1120-S and 1065, particularly where the entities are closely connected to individual business-owner clients.
- Review source documents including Forms W-2, 1099, K-1, brokerage statements, rental activity, business income information, and other supporting documentation.
- Review tax workpapers and supporting schedules for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate tax treatment.
- Handle returns involving investments, capital gains, pass-through income, rental properties, estimated taxes, multistate filings, and other complex individual tax matters.
- Research and resolve US federal and state tax issues and appropriately document tax positions.
- Identify tax-planning opportunities and matters requiring further analysis or discussion.
- Supervise and review the work of junior tax professionals and provide practical guidance.
- Manage multiple tax engagements and coordinate open items, priorities, and filing deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams regarding information requests, tax matters, and engagement status.
- Maintain organized and well-supported tax workpapers and documentation.
- Support process improvements, standardization, and quality-control initiatives within the tax practice.
- Remain hands-on with preparation work when required, particularly during peak filing periods.
Experience We Value
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant US tax experience, preferably in public accounting, a CPA firm, or an outsourced US tax environment.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing Form 1040 individual income tax returns.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1120-S and 1065 is highly preferred.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, small and mid-sized business owners, athletes, executives, investors, and other individuals with complex tax profiles is highly valued.
- Familiarity with K-1 income, investments and brokerage activity, rental properties, closely held businesses, multistate filings, and estimated tax calculations is preferred.
- Prior experience reviewing or supervising the work of junior tax professionals is beneficial.
Excel & Technology Skills
Strong technology skills are important for this role. The successful candidate should be comfortable working efficiently with tax software, Excel, digital workpapers, and cloud-based systems.
We are particularly looking for:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, filters, sorting, reconciliations, data analysis, and preparation of structured tax workpapers.
- Ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial and tax data efficiently.
- Experience using professional US tax preparation software.
- Comfort working with document-management systems, workflow tools, digital workpapers, and remote collaboration platforms.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software and technology quickly.
- Strong general proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of US federal and state individual income tax rules.
- Good understanding of pass-through taxation and the relationship between entity-level filings and individual tax returns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
- CPA, EA, CA, or another relevant professional qualification is beneficial but not mandatory for candidates with strong practical US tax experience.

Working Model
- Full-time, remote position
- India-based role supporting US clients and teams
- Working hours are expected to substantially overlap with US business hours, currently approximately 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST, with some flexibility based on mutual discussion
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently while remaining responsive and collaborative within a remote team environment
