Senior Tax Executive – Income Tax & GST

As we continue to expand our accounting practice, we are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Executive who can independently manage direct and indirect tax matters while working closely with our accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of Income Tax computations and returns.
- Preparation and review of GST computations and GST returns.
- Drafting and filing replies to Income Tax and GST notices.
- Independently handling scrutiny assessments and departmental proceedings.
- Representation before Income Tax and GST authorities.
- Coordinating with clients for obtaining information and documentation.
- Advising internal accounting teams on tax implications and compliance matters.
- Keeping abreast of changes in Income Tax, GST and other relevant laws.
- Ensuring timely compliance with statutory deadlines.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Chartered Accountant firm.
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Income Tax
- GST
- TDS
- Tax compliances and assessments
- Experience in handling scrutiny proceedings and replying to departmental notices.
- Comfortable visiting Income Tax and GST departments for hearings and other official matters.
- Good drafting, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Willingness to undertake limited travel for departmental representations.
