🚀 We're Hiring: US Sales Tax Expert | Ahmedabad (On-site)
Are you a US Sales & Use Tax specialist looking for your next challenge? We're growing our team in Ahmedabad and looking for a Mid-Level to Senior Sales Tax Expert to join us full-time.
What you'll do:
- Manage end-to-end US multi-state Sales & Use Tax compliance (filing, reconciliation, nexus analysis)
- Prepare and review sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Monitor changing state/local tax laws and assess business impact
- Support tax audits and respond to notices from state tax authorities
- Work with tools like Avalara, Vertex, or TaxJar (or similar)
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on tax provisions and reporting
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities in tax compliance
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in US Sales & Use Tax (mid-level to senior candidates welcome)
- Strong understanding of multi-state nexus rules and taxability concepts
- Experience with sales tax software (Avalara, Vertex, TaxJar, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/EA a plus)
- Comfortable working US hours overlap as needed
