Job details:
Role: Travel Contracting Executive
Location: Bengaluru | On-site
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Somebody has to decide what a trip costs before anybody can sell it. That's this job.
ElderGo is India's dedicated travel company for seniors. We design and run all-inclusive group tours — international and domestic — for retired travellers who want to see the world in comfort, safety and good company. India has one of the largest and fastest-growing senior populations anywhere, and almost nobody is building seriously for them. We are, we're growing fast, and nearly all of our travel is international.
The Role
You'll own the buying side of every trip we run. You'll find and evaluate DMCs and ground handlers in each destination, pull quotes from several of them, and work out what we actually pay for hotels, transport, guides and everything else on the ground. You'll agree the rates and the terms — deposits, cancellation windows, what's in and what isn't — and get it in writing. You'll handle our group air: routings, bulk fares, consolidator terms and the deadlines that come with them.
Once a trip is sold, you stay with it. When something moves on the ground — a hotel, a vehicle, a guide — you're the one the vendor hears from. Someone else designs the itinerary. You make it possible, and you make it profitable.
Who Should Apply
- At least 2 years where you personally negotiated rates with hotels, transport companies or DMCs — not where someone else handled the rates. This is essential.
- Experience buying in international destinations.
- Comfortable working in English and Hindi.
- Based in Bengaluru, or ready to be.
Why ElderGo
- You'll work directly with the founders — no layer in between. They're in the business every day and they approve every deal you bring them.
- Real ownership from day one. This is the first dedicated contracting role here, and a lot of the supplier base is still yours to build.
- Fixed working hours, no weekend work. Good work comes from people with a life outside it.
- Work that means something. The money you save is what lets a retired couple afford the trip at all.
