Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Trader role based in Surat. The Trader will analyze financial markets daily, monitor stock price movements, and identify trading opportunities aligned with the institute’s educational philosophy and risk management guidelines. Responsibilities include executing trades, maintaining trading logs, back-testing strategies, and preparing simple trade reports and insights that can be used for training and discussion. The role also involves collaborating with mentors and educators to share practical market observations, refining trading strategies, and participating in ongoing learning sessions. The Trader is expected to follow disciplined trading processes, adhere to risk controls, and support a culture of ethical, knowledge-driven market participation.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of stock market fundamentals and financial instruments, including equities, futures, and options.
- Proficiency in technical analysis, chart reading, price action, and candlestick patterns.
- Understanding of fundamental analysis and the ability to interpret basic financial and economic data.
- Experience with trading strategies, risk management frameworks, and structured trade execution.
- Sound trading psychology, discipline, and the ability to follow defined processes under market pressure.
- Ability to maintain accurate trading records, prepare concise reports, and communicate market insights clearly.
- Comfort with trading platforms, charting tools, and basic Excel or data analysis software.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant trading experience or certifications are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Surat and engage actively with an educational trading environment.
