Role Description The Tendering Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Varanasi, responsible for managing the end-to-end tender process for Indian Railway contracts. Day-to-day activities include identifying relevant tenders, preparing and submitting tender documents, coordinating required compliances, and maintaining accurate records of submissions and outcomes. The role involves analyzing tender terms and conditions, collaborating with internal teams to collect technical and financial inputs, and drafting clear, compliant proposals. The Tendering Specialist will liaise with railway authorities and stakeholders for clarifications, follow-ups, and documentation, while monitoring tender status, deadlines, and post-award requirements. The role also includes supporting contract execution teams with documentation and ensuring adherence to statutory and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Tender Management skills, including tender identification, documentation, submission, and compliance tracking.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret tender conditions, evaluate risks, and assess technical and commercial requirements.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordination with internal teams, railway authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Proposal Writing skills to prepare clear, accurate, and compliant technical and financial bid documents.
- Candidates should possess Procurement-related understanding, including vendor coordination, pricing, and sourcing of materials or services as required for tenders.
- Relevant experience in government or railway tendering, contract management, or project coordination is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and online tender portals, along with attention to detail and strong organizational skills, is preferred.
- A diploma or degree in business, commerce, engineering, or a related field is an advantage; familiarity with Indian Railway standards and guidelines is a plus.
