A. Scope of Work:
- Oversee the complete bookkeeping process for UK-based clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and client-specific SOPs, including reviewing and verifying accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations, including necessary adjustments or updates.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, ensuring they comply with UK accounting standards and regulations (e.g., UK GAAP or FRS 102-1A, FRS 105).
- Review year-end reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, Payroll & VAT reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts, ensuring that all transactions are correctly recorded and any discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Review Corporation tax returns (CT600), ensuring all appropriate tax deductions, allowances, and reliefs are considered.
- · Review Self-assessment tax returns for Individuals, Partnership firms, trusts, from simple, moderate to complex types of returns will be an added advantage.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, providing guidance and addressing complex financial concerns.
- Provide regular updates to clients and senior management regarding financial activities and status.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization in bookkeeping operations.
- Ensure timely submission of timesheets and regular updates to workflow systems.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of MIS reports, providing actionable insights on financial trends and key performance metrics.
- Set and monitor individual and team KPIs to ensure performance targets are met.
B. Competence Requirements
- B.com, M.com or Equivalent Qualification
- Solid understanding of UK GAAP, taxation, including VAT, PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, and end-to-end bookkeeping.
- Proficient in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow).
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and develop the potential of team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, ensuring they comply with UK accounting standards and regulations (e.g., UK GAAP or FRS 102-1A, FRS 105).

- Committed to ongoing team development with evolving accounting practices and technology.
- Experience in managing a team in a remote or distributed environment is a plus.
