About the Role
We are looking for a highly execution-oriented Chartered Accountant with strong experience in D2C, e-commerce, or consumer-facing brands. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with finance operations and capable of independently managing accounting, compliance, reporting, cash flow, AP/AR, and financial controls in a fast-paced business environment.
This role requires someone who understands high-volume transactions, inventory-led operations, marketplace reconciliations, vendor ecosystems, and the financial complexities involved in scaling consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Operations
- Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations for the business
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and present MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Monitor financial accuracy and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
- Ensure timely vendor payments, payment planning, and supplier reconciliations
- Track receivables, collections, outstanding balances, and customer settlements
- Conduct ageing analysis for payables and receivables and drive closure of pending items
- Handle invoicing, billing controls, payment follow-ups, and collection processes
- Reconcile marketplace settlements, deductions, claims, returns, and payment discrepancies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing or reconciliation issues efficiently
Compliance & Audit
- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, audits, and statutory compliances
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure all financial records and documentation are audit-ready and compliant
Inventory & Marketplace Operations
- Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
- Handle accounting and reconciliation for platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, Nykaa, etc.
- Monitor high-volume transactions and ensure accuracy across payment gateways and marketplaces
Required Skills & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2+ years of post-qualification experience
- Experience managing finance operations for businesses with ₹100 Cr+ revenue is mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, audits, AP/AR, and compliance
- Strong understanding of marketplace accounting, inventory management, and reconciliation processes
- Experience handling high transaction volumes and vendor/customer ecosystems
- Proficiency in Excel, financial reporting tools, and ERP/accounting systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution capabilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and process orientation
