Middleware MQ Engineer · Strong experience in IBM MQ Administration (v8.x/v9.x preferred). · Knowledge of MQ clustering and high-availability configurations. · Experience with Linux/Unix administration. · Understanding of SSL/TLS and MQ security configurations. · Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, Bash). · Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or IBM MQ Explorer. · Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 Install, configure, and administer IBM MQ Queue Managers across distributed environments.
2 Perform MQ object creation and maintenance including queues, channels, listeners, and topics.
3 Monitor MQ infrastructure and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
4 Configure and maintain clustering, queue sharing groups, and multi-instance queue managers.
5 Implement security controls including SSL/TLS, CHLAUTH, OAM, and certificate management.
6 Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
7 Troubleshoot MQ connectivity, message flow, channel failures, and performance issues.
8 Support production deployments and application onboarding activities.
9 Create automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
10 Work with applications, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure platform reliability.
11 Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
