Job details:
Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Engagement Type: Part-time Fellowship — approximately 4–5 days per month
Experience: 8 – 15 years in education, academia, public policy or advocacy
Qualification: Master's degree
Compensation: Honorarium-based
Role Summary
You can help bring learning to 5 crore children.
Sampark Foundation today impacts 2 crore children across nearly 2 lakh government schools in 8 states. Our next ambition is to reach 5 crore children across 5 lakh schools.
For this, we are looking for a senior professional who has completed a distinguished career in government, education, academia, public policy or advocacy, but still wants to put their experience, relationships and energy behind a cause that matters.
This is not an advisory role. It is a hands-on mission.
You will help us build partnerships with Central Government ministries and departments, national educational institutions, universities, associations and other organizations shaping education in India. You will help bring Sampark's experience from the field into conversations that can influence policy, partnerships and action at a national level.
The commitment is approximately 4–5 days a month, flexibly deployed, and is not a full-time job. The honorarium cannot compensate for a lifetime of experience, and that is not the proposition.
Please apply only if the idea of helping bring better learning to 5 crore children excites you enough to roll up your sleeves and help make it happen.
About the Organization
Sampark Foundation was founded by Anupama Nayar and Vineet Nayar (Former Vice Chairman and CEO of HCL Technologies) with the belief that frugal innovation, combined with relentless execution in partnership with the
government, can drive large-scale change in learning outcomes.
Since 2013, our flagship Sampark Smart Shala programme has transformed learning in rural government schools through low-cost teaching-learning materials, audio devices with the voice mascot “Sampark Didi” and bot enabled mobile apps that reach teachers directly in their classrooms. Our operating model is anchored in government partnerships — working alongside State Education Departments, SCERTs, DIETs and block-level officials to make our programme the state's programme, not an external intervention.
Today, Sampark Foundation impacts 2 crore children across nearly 2 lakh government schools in 8 states —Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Rajasthan —
and trains over 5 lakh teachers at the block level every year.
Our next ambition is to reach 5 crore children across 5 lakh schools. This fellowship is central to that goal.
