We are seeking a Java Engineer (Development & Application Support) to balance core Java development with L2/L3 application support for a high-traffic B2C platform. You will ensure end-to-end software delivery, operational stability, and SLA compliance across the application lifecycle in a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
Java Development: Design, write, and unit-test clean code, RESTful APIs, and performance-optimized enhancements; refactor legacy code and participate in code reviews and sprint planning.
Incident & RCA Management: Lead L2/L3 troubleshooting for production issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and ship direct code-level fixes to prevent recurring defects.
DevOps & Change Management: Support CI/CD deployment pipelines, manage release workflows using ITIL-aligned Change Management practices, and monitor containerized workloads.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge development roadmaps with operational support needs, coordinating closely with architects, product managers, and project stakeholders.
Technical Stack & Qualifications
Core Java: Strong proficiency in Java, RESTful web services, frameworks, and deep stack-trace debugging.
Database: PostgreSQL (complex SQL queries, performance tuning, and schema migration).
Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, and Kubernetes (pod inspection, cluster monitoring, and troubleshooting).
ITSM & Support: Jira / Jira Service Management with a strong foundation in ITIL principles (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
- Experience: Proven dual track record in Java software development and application support; strong analytical skills; fluent written and spoken English
