Role Description The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. Know how of mechatronics and china supply base js a must. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers that align with the company’s quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Day-to-day tasks include conducting supplier assessments, analyzing sourcing data, negotiating contracts and pricing, and managing supply agreements to ensure continuity of supply. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, quality, R&D, and manufacturing to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, driving supplier development programs, and supporting risk mitigation strategies within the supply base.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform thorough Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Development to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret sourcing data, assess risks, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms and maintain compliant, sustainable supplier relationships.
- Experience in Supply Management, including vendor management, inventory coordination, and supply risk mitigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are an advantage.
- Knowledge of MedTech or healthcare manufacturing processes and quality standards is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems; familiarity with sourcing and procurement tools is beneficial.
