Role Description: The Sourcing Manager is a full-time, travelling role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for identifying and managing suppliers of organic fruits, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to sustainability and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating supplier performance, overseeing cost and risk analysis, coordinating with management, and monitoring market trends and seasonal availability. The Sourcing Manager will also develop sourcing strategies, maintain accurate procurement documentation, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support production planning and global distribution needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in food, agriculture, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong skills in vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and relationship management with domestic and international suppliers.
- Ability to analyze costs, supply risks, and market trends to inform data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices, organic certification standards, and regulatory requirements for food imports and exports.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and proficiency in procurement or ERP systems and basic data analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and travel to supplier locations as needed.
