Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Steward / Waiter / GSA F & B Service role based in Chennai The role involves welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and serving dishes and drinks promptly and accurately. The team member ensures tables and service areas are clean, organized, and properly set up, and supports buffet arrangements or special events as required. Daily tasks include coordinating with kitchen staff, handling guest queries and feedback, following hygiene and safety standards, and assisting in billing and table turnover. The role also includes learning and following standard operating procedures and contributing to a positive, guest-focused dining experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with a guest-centric approach and ability to handle feedback professionally.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage basics, including menu items, service styles, and hygiene standards.
- Experience or willingness to participate in Training related to F & B operations and service protocols.
- Hands-on Food Service skills, including order taking, serving, clearing, and table setup.
- Prior experience in restaurants, hotels, or resorts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic English proficiency; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Minimum high school education; hospitality-related certification or diploma is an added benefit.
