Job Description
GGIS, Bavdhan, is hiring a TGT SST to teach Social Studies with clarity, relevance, and strong student engagement. The role requires thoughtful lesson planning, effective classroom management, and the ability to make topics such as history, geography, civics, and social understanding meaningful for learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons that are age-appropriate, well-structured, and aligned with curriculum goals.
- Teach subject areas such as history, geography, civics, and related interdisciplinary topics.
- Use varied teaching strategies, discussions, activities, projects, and assessments to promote participation and understanding.
- Track student progress, evaluate work, and maintain academic records on time.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, events, assessments, and school initiatives.
- Participate in parent communication, meetings, and broader academic responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent academic preparation in social sciences, humanities, education, or a related area is preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience in middle or secondary grades is preferred, though capable early-career educators may also be considered.
- Strong subject understanding and ability to communicate concepts in an engaging, accessible manner.
- Good classroom management, lesson planning, and student assessment skills.
- Ability to integrate project work, discussion, and real-world context into teaching.
- Professionalism, teamwork, and a consistent learner-first mindset.
- Must be able to commute reliably to the Bavdhan campus; the role is fully on-site and commute arrangements are the employee’s responsibility.
