ROLE
The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for test planning, execution, and reporting across concurrent projects within the Affinix platform. Working closely with delivery teams, this role ensures test coverage aligns with business requirements, identified risks, and overall program objectives. The role contributes to both manual and automated testing, supports continuous improvement within the testing function, and plays a key part in knowledge sharing and collaboration across the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
▪ Testing and ensuring the quality of the Springboard (Affinix) product.
▪ Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation using SQL.
▪ Take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
▪ Manage defects through to resolution with clear, structured communication.
▪ Experienced in writing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, and test results.
▪ Hands-on experience with test automation (e.g. Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, REST Assured).
▪ Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering UI and API layers.
▪ Review test cases to ensure accuracy, completeness, traceability, and risk coverage.
▪ Manage defects end-to-end including logging, tracking, and reporting using JIRA.
▪ Identify and contribute to testing capability uplift and process improvements across both manual and automation practices.
▪ Support knowledge transfer and collaboration across team members.
▪ Ensure quality concerns are addressed in a timely manner; initiate and write deviations, conduct investigations, and perform root cause analysis.
▪ Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and documentation.
▪ Review and refine requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and completeness.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Lead end-to-end testing activities including test planning, test case design, execution, regression, and defect management.
▪ Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
▪ Perform functional, integration, system, UAT, and regression testing.
▪ Execute exploratory testing and risk-based testing to uncover edge cases.
▪ Perform API testing (e.g. REST services) and basic database validation.
▪ At least 3-5 years' experience working with production-level web-based applications.
▪ Strong technical understanding of web application architecture, including front end/back-end interactions, HTTP/REST protocols, and browser-based testing considerations.
▪ Experience working with React-based front-end architecture, including testing component behavior, state management, and client-side rendering patterns.
▪ Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Lighthouse).
▪ Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering UI and API layers.
▪ Actively contribute to and improve test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, REST Assured).
▪ Analyze test results and failures; work with developers to resolve issues quickly
▪ Exposure to AI-powered tools or platforms, including experience testing systems that incorporate machine learning or LLM-based capabilities.
▪ Familiarity with prompt-driven workflows, AI API integrations (e.g. AWS Bedrock, OpenAI), or testing non-deterministic AI outputs.
▪ Understanding of the unique QA considerations for AI-assisted features including bias, output variability, and safety guardrails.
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
▪ Ability to work effectively across distributed, cross-functional teams spanning multiple time zones.
▪ Comfortable engaging with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate quality risks.
▪ Proactive in sharing knowledge and contributing to team capability uplift.
▪ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
