Role Description
The Sr. Survey & Designer (Rooftop & Ground Mounted) will be responsible for conducting detailed site surveys for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects, including assessing structural feasibility, shading, orientation, and load-bearing capacity. The role involves preparing technical designs and layouts, creating single-line diagrams, and optimizing system configurations to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This team member will coordinate with sales, engineering, and installation teams to finalize system designs, prepare bill of materials, and support project execution. The position also includes preparing documentation and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical input during client discussions and approvals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in solar PV system design for rooftop and ground-mounted installations, including layout planning and capacity sizing.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SoildWorks, PVsyst, SketchUp, or similar tools) for creating drawings and simulations.
- Ability to perform detailed site surveys, including structural assessment, shading analysis, measurements, and data collection.
- Knowledge of electrical and structural basics related to solar installations, including safety standards and local regulations.
- Experience preparing technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, bill of materials, and project reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail in designs and calculations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, engineering, and installation teams, and interface with clients.
- Bachelor’s or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent relevant experience in solar projects.
- Previous experience in rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects, preferably in a senior or lead survey/design role.
- Commitment to sustainability and willingness to stay updated on solar industry trends, standards, and best practices.
