Job Title: Sr. IT Engineer Applications- Azure Platform
Job Type: Level–IC4
Exp- 5-9 Years
Shift timing: 2 PM to 11 PM
Must have skills:
- Azure Cloud
- Good scripting such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Git Hub Actions and Terraform are a must
- Some experience in monitoring (any monitoring preferred: Dynatrace, Splunk, or Sysdig)
- Primary: it is supported 85% and 15% in enhancement—development from the platform engineering perspective
Key ask for the role:
- For this role we need candidates whose primary focus is 85% operational support and 15% development, ensuring platform stability while delivering workflow enhancements.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to execute runbooks, validate zero-downtime deployments, and follow operational procedures.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform CLI and adherence to Terraform guidelines, including module reuse, state management, and infrastructure automation.
- Proficient in Git CLI for source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and supporting CI/CD workflow improvements.
- Experience in programming and configuration using scripting languages (Python/Bash/PowerShell) to automate operational and platform tasks.
- Responsible for supporting new feature requests, enabling platform capabilities, and ensuring successful feature rollout and adoption.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (any tool) for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance and ensuring smooth platform operations.
- Self-starter mindset with a focus on continuous workflow enhancement, automation, and improving operational efficiency.
- Provides post-implementation support, production issue resolution, documentation, and ongoing platform maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
