About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Social Media professional to manage and grow the social media presence of Pinkvilla Buzz.
The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day social media activities, identifying trending content opportunities, creating engaging captions and content packaging, and analysing social media performance across platforms.
The ideal candidate should be highly active on social media, have a strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts, and be quick to identify emerging trends, formats and audience behaviours that can be adapted for Buzz.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day social media presence of Pinkvilla Buzz across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, content formats, memes, conversations and platform updates.
- Identify trending topics, formats and opportunities and quickly adapt them into relevant content for Buzz.
- Develop creative and engaging captions, hooks, headlines and content packaging for social media posts.
- Plan and execute social media posting calendars based on content priorities, trends and audience behaviour.
- Understand platform-specific content requirements and adapt content accordingly for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
- Experiment with different content formats, posting styles, captions and packaging to improve engagement and reach.
- Monitor social media performance and identify high-performing and underperforming content.
- Prepare regular social media performance reports covering key metrics such as reach, views, engagement, follower growth and content performance.
- Analyse social media data and provide actionable insights to improve future content and posting strategies.
- Track audience behaviour and engagement patterns to understand what content resonates with the target audience.
- Work closely with the Content, Video and Design teams to ensure content is packaged effectively for social platforms.
- Monitor competitor and category activity to identify relevant trends, formats and content opportunities.
- Continuously test new ideas and formats to improve the overall social media presence and engagement of Pinkvilla Buzz.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Social Media, Digital Media, Content or a similar role.
- Strong and practical understanding of Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
- Highly active on social media and well-versed in current trends, formats and internet culture.
- Strong creative ability, particularly in captions, hooks, content packaging and posting strategies.
- Ability to identify trends early and quickly translate them into relevant content.
- Good understanding of social media metrics, analytics and performance reporting.
- Ability to analyse content performance and derive actionable insights.
- Good understanding of social media growth, engagement and audience behaviour.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proactive, agile and comfortable working in a fast-paced digital content environment.
- Experience with social media analytics and publishing tools would be an advantage.
