We're looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist who can take a brand, understand its audience, and build a clear, relevant social direction around it.
This role goes beyond content calendars and posting. You'll be responsible for developing the strategic direction for brands across social media—understanding the audience, identifying opportunities, building content territories, and turning insights into ideas that are relevant, distinctive, and effective.
You'll work closely with design teams to ensure strategy translates into strong visuals.
What You'll Do
- Develop social media strategies and communication frameworks for brands across categories.
- Define content pillars, territories, formats, and creative directions based on brand and audience insights.
- Execute the social strategy into strong visuals with the design team.
- Translate brand objectives into clear social-first strategies and ideas.
- Analyse audience behaviour, cultural trends, competitors, and platform trends to identify opportunities.
- Build and oversee monthly content strategies and calendars.
- Brief and collaborate with designers, video editors, content writers, and creative teams.
- Review creative output to ensure it aligns with the strategic direction and brand voice.
- Present strategies, ideas, and recommendations confidently to clients.
What We're Looking For
- 4-5 years of experience in social media strategy, preferably within a creative or digital agency
- Strong experience developing social strategies for brands, not just managing social media accounts
- A portfolio or body of work demonstrating strategic thinking, campaigns, content systems, and brand building
- Strong understanding of social platforms, content formats, and audience behaviour
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to give clear creative briefs and work closely with creative teams
- Comfortable handling multiple brands and projects in a fast-paced agency environment
