We are looking for Sr. Design Engineer (Electrical) at Chennai HQ (Immediate)

Job Description
- Starting from Proposal work in Technical & Commercial aspects
- Preparation of Complete Design for electrical equipment’s substation (MCC).
- Further, detail study & analysis of complete Material handling project technical specification (Mechanical, Electrical, civil & C&I) for Basic & detail engineering
- Finding & segregating the E&I scope of work in design, erection & commissioning phases of the project.
- BOQ preparation based on tender NIT for E&I Budget preparation
- Preparing the Detail work targets break structure for entire projects by specifying the start date & end dates with internal coordination of Mechanical, civil & utility departments.
- Expertise in FEED for Plant Electrics.
- Knowledge of Engineering development procedure (EDP).
- Preparation of Drive List, Transformer Sizing, Load Calculations, short circuit calculations.
- Prepare Technical Specification for the electrics (like HT/LT Switchgear, PCC/PDB, Transformers, Battery Chargers, APFC, HT/LT Motors, Cables, VVVF Drives, Bus duct, MLDB/LP, Lighting fixtures, Earthing & Lightning materials, Cable trays & Electrical Accessories).
- Preparation of single line diagram for the overall plant electrics.
- Power cabling Sizing, Power & control Cable Schedules, Interconnection schedules Cable Routing & Layouts.
- Lighting, Earthing and Lightning Design calculations & Layouts.
- Battery sizing and capacitor sizing.
- Knowledge of Hazardous area classifications.
- Heat Load Calculations.
- Conversant in practicing IS codes and International standards.
- Guidance to site for supervision of Erection, commissioning & handing over activities
- Allocating work for team members & Project complete co-ordination
- Involved in various techno-commercial meetings for finalization of various packages.
- Coordination with supplier, clients regarding the clarification and finalization of various packages.
