Company Description Riya Child Development Centre (Riya CDC) is a pediatric therapy center based in Manikonda, Hyderabad, focused on comprehensive developmental care for children. Founded in October 2021, Riya CDC offers a multidisciplinary range of services, including behavior therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and special education. Role Description The Special Education Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based at RIYA CDC in Hyderabad. This role involves designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with diverse learning needs, aligned with their developmental goals and therapeutic interventions. The teacher will deliver specialized instruction, adapt curriculum and classroom activities, and use appropriate strategies and materials to support learning, behavior, and communication. Daily responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining detailed documentation, collaborating closely with therapists and families, and participating in team meetings to coordinate care. The role also involves creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment, supporting life skills development, and engaging caregivers through regular feedback and guidance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Special Education and Teaching skills, with experience in individualized instruction and classroom management.
- Candidates should possess knowledge related to Disabilities and inclusive education practices to support learners with diverse needs.
- Candidates should possess Teaching experience at the Middle School level or similar age groups, with understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or related field; certification in Special Education is preferred.
- Experience working in pediatric or therapeutic settings and familiarity with IEPs, behavioral strategies, and progress reporting is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, patience, empathy, and a commitment to child-centered, evidence-based practice.
