We’re Hiring: Sound Effects Editor | Remote | Project-Based
Noise Nexus is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Sound Effects Editor to collaborate with us on upcoming projects.
About Noise Nexus
Noise Nexus is a sound design and audio post-production studio founded and led by Diluxshan, a Sound Designer with over 10 years of professional experience working across feature films and commercial projects. Built on this experience, Noise Nexus works on sound design and audio post-production for feature films, commercial projects and other visual media, with a focus on creating sound that strengthens storytelling and the overall viewing experience. We are now looking to collaborate with emerging sound editors who are passionate about the craft and interested in developing their skills through real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit, layer and synchronise sound effects with visual content
• Source and select appropriate sound effects from audio libraries
• Build soundscapes that complement the mood, action and storytelling of each scene
• Perform audio editing, clean-up and basic mixing where required
• Work according to the creative direction provided for each project
• Incorporate feedback and revisions
• Deliver completed work within agreed project timelines
Skills & Experience
• Basic practical experience in sound effects editing, sound design or audio post-production
• Working knowledge of Pro Tools, Reaper, Adobe Audition or similar audio editing software
• Understanding of audio timing, layering, levels and synchronisation
• Good creative judgement when selecting and placing sounds
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A genuine interest in sound design, films and visual storytelling
Formal qualifications are not mandatory. Your skills, creative ear and quality of work matter more to us than years of experience.
