Solution Architect – Core Banking (FLEXCUBE / Finacle)

Role:
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect – Core Banking to design and lead technology solutions for complex banking transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle FLEXCUBE and/or Infosys Finacle, along with a deep understanding of core banking architecture, integration, modernization, and digital banking ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architecture for Core Banking transformation, modernization, and implementation programs.
- Provide architecture leadership across FLEXCUBE and/or Finacle platforms.
- Design solutions covering core banking modules such as:
- Retail & Corporate Banking
- CASA and Deposits
- Loans & Lending
- Payments and Transfers
- Trade Finance
- GL & Accounting
- Interest, Charges & Fees
- Customer & Account Management
- Define integration architecture between core banking platforms and surrounding systems using APIs, microservices, ESB, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Architect integrations with digital banking, payments, CRM, AML/KYC, cards, regulatory, data, and other enterprise platforms.
- Lead technical discussions around core banking product configuration, customization, interfaces, extensions, and migration.
- Develop architecture blueprints, solution designs, interface specifications, data flows, and technical documentation.
- Drive non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, disaster recovery, and observability.
- Support legacy modernization, cloud adoption, platform upgrades, and core banking migration initiatives.
- Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate architectural patterns and solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in banking technology / financial services, with significant experience in core banking.
- Strong hands-on architecture experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE and/or Finacle.
- Good understanding of core banking architecture, banking products, processes, and integration patterns.
- Experience designing enterprise and solution architectures for large-scale banking platforms.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, messaging, ESB, event-driven architecture, and integration frameworks.
- Experience with databases and data architecture, preferably Oracle and related technologies.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
- Knowledge of security architecture, authentication/authorization, encryption, and API security.
- Experience with core banking implementation, upgrade, migration, or modernization programs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in architecture or cloud technologies are an advantage.
- Experience working on large-scale banking transformation programs.
- Experience with FLEXCUBE Universal Banking / FLEXCUBE versions and/or Finacle Core Banking.
- Exposure to ISO 20022, SWIFT, payment systems, AML/KYC, regulatory reporting, and digital banking.
