Role Description
The Solidworks Mechanical Trainer will deliver structured, hands-on training in Solidworks and related mechanical design concepts to engineering students and early-career professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing training materials and exercises, conducting classroom and lab sessions, and providing individualized guidance and feedback on design projects. The trainer will demonstrate Solidworks features, best practices in 3D modeling and drafting, and industry-relevant workflows, while ensuring participants understand design standards and real-world application. Additional tasks include assessing learner performance, updating course content based on industry trends, coordinating with the training team, and maintaining training labs and equipment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Coimbatore.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Solidworks and mechanical design, including 3D modeling, assemblies, drafting, and simulation.
- Practical experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or manufacturing, with ability to translate industry practices into training content.
- Ability to develop structured curricula, lesson plans, and project-based learning materials for diverse skill levels.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in engineering or CAD domains is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in Solidworks or CAD training are an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a professional and inclusive learning environment.
- Willingness to stay updated with new Solidworks features, industry standards, and emerging mechanical design practices.
