About the Opportunity
We are looking for early-career software engineers for opportunities with startups and technology companies hiring in India.
Rather than relying only on resumes and application history, candidates are evaluated through a 30-minute human-led Job Readiness Assessment conducted by Satlights.
The assessment is designed to understand your actual technical ability, problem-solving approach, communication, ownership, and depth of experience.
Candidates who meet our readiness standard may be directly introduced to relevant employers based on their profile and the roles they are hiring for.
What You'll Work On
Depending on the opportunity and employer, you may work on:
- Building and shipping production software
- Developing backend APIs and services
- Building frontend applications
- Designing and working with databases
- Debugging and solving engineering problems
- Working with modern cloud and development tools
- Collaborating with engineers and product teams
- Taking ownership of features from implementation through delivery
Requirements
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals
- Ability to explain projects they have actually worked on
- Understanding of the technologies they claim experience with
- Practical problem-solving ability
- Ability to reason through unfamiliar engineering problems
- Clear communication
- Ownership of their work
Experience: 0–3 years
Projects, internships, freelance work, open-source contributions, or professional experience can all be relevant.
