About Kontxt.dev
Kontxt.dev is building the context orchestration platform for AI-powered software development.
Engineering teams use tools like GitHub, Jira, Slack, Notion, Cursor, Claude Code, Sentry, and many more. While AI coding assistants are becoming increasingly powerful, they still lack the project context developers already have across these tools.
We're building the missing layer that brings all of this context together, enabling AI to write better code, reduce unnecessary token usage, and help engineering teams ship faster.
We're looking for our first Founding Engineer to help build this vision from the ground up.
The Role
As our first engineering hire, you'll work directly with the founders to shape both the product and the company. You'll own major technical decisions, build core platform features, and help define the engineering culture from day one.
This isn't a role where you'll work on one small component. You'll build across the stack and have a direct impact on every part of the product.

• AI context orchestration platform
• Developer tool integrations (GitHub, Jira, Slack, Notion, Cursor, Claude Code, Sentry, and more)
• Backend services and APIs
• Modern frontend experiences
• AI workflows using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases
• Performance and infrastructure improvements
• Features from idea to production
Who You Are
• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript
• Comfortable with React and Next.js
• Experience building backend services with FastAPI
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL, Qdrant and API design
• Basic understanding of AWS ( AWS Lambda, Bedrock)
• Enjoy solving complex engineering problems
• Thrive in fast-moving startup environments
• Take ownership and enjoy building products from scratch
Bonus Points
• Experience with AI applications or LLMs
• Familiarity with RAG or vector databases
• Open-source contributions
• Experience building SaaS or developer tools
• Previous startup experience
