🚀 We’re Hiring: Software Engineer
About the Role
Bowzaine™ is looking for talented and motivated Software Engineers with 1–5 years of professional software development experience to join our growing technology team.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals and hands-on development experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript. You will work on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
We are looking for engineers who enjoy solving technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and continuously learning new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and services.
- Develop scalable and reliable solutions using Python, Java, and/or JavaScript.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services where required.
- Debug application issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
- Work with databases and integrate applications with appropriate data sources.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Use Git and modern development workflows for source-code management and collaboration.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas toward improving system architecture, performance, and scalability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, development practices, and engineering trends.
Required Skills
- 1–5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming knowledge in at least one of the following:
- Python
- Java
- JavaScript
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and programming fundamentals.
- Experience developing web applications, backend services, APIs, or software products.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and client-server architecture.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Working knowledge of Git/GitHub or similar version-control systems.
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software development best practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Good to Have
- Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, Spring Boot, React.js, Node.js, or Express.js.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Docker or containerized applications.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with automated testing and software quality practices.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working with AI-enabled development tools or modern developer productivity tools.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Candidates with equivalent practical software development experience may also be considered.
