About Aervon
Aervon is a SpaceTech and DeepTech accelerator connecting founders across India and the United States. We work with early-stage companies in SpaceTech, aerospace, defense, AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.

The Role
We're hiring a Software Engineer to build the systems Aervon runs on — the platform founders and partners use, the internal tools our team depends on, and the data and AI infrastructure behind our research on the DeepTech ecosystem.
Most of your work will be backend: services and APIs, data pipelines, third-party integrations, and LLM-powered internal applications. You'll own projects end to end, from problem statement to production. This is a small team, so you'll make architecture decisions rather than inherit them.
You do not need an aerospace or space background. You do need to be comfortable learning unfamiliar technical domains quickly, because you'll be working alongside founders building hardware, autonomy systems, and frontier technology.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that hold up in production.
- Build and maintain data pipelines feeding Aervon's platform and research work.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services across our stack.
- Build internal tools and automation that remove manual work from how the team operates.
- Develop AI/LLM-backed features: retrieval, enrichment, summarization, agent workflows.
- Own quality: tests, code review, monitoring, and debugging production issues.
- Participate in CI/CD, deployment, and release processes.
- Write the design docs and documentation that let the next engineer move fast.
- Work directly with founders, engineers, and partners on technical initiatives.
What You'll Need
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with production systems you've shipped and maintained.
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, or a comparable modern language.
- Solid backend and REST API experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
- Fluency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging instincts and the ability to work from an ambiguous problem statement to a shipped solution.
- Clear written communication and the discipline to work independently in a remote, distributed team.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Python, TypeScript, or C++ specifically.
- Hands-on work with LLMs, generative AI, computer vision, or ML systems in production.
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker.
- CI/CD and DevOps practice; distributed systems or microservices.
- Robotics, simulation, autonomy, embedded systems, or hardware-software integration.
- Exposure to aerospace, SpaceTech, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other DeepTech domains.
- Startup or early-stage experience.
- Open-source contributions, side projects, research, or technical writing we can read.

Working Here
- Remote, based in India. You choose where you work from.
- Distributed team across India and the US. Expect a few hours of overlap with US time zones each week for collaboration - not a fixed night shift.
- Compensation: ₹12,00,000–₹18,00,000 per annum, set by experience and demonstrated engineering ability.
