Role Description The Social Worker role at Shradha Foundation is a full-time remote position focused on supporting individuals and communities connected to the organization’s initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, providing guidance and referrals to appropriate services, and coordinating with partner organizations to address social, financial, and emotional challenges. The Social Worker will document cases, track outcomes, and prepare concise reports to inform program improvements. This role also involves developing outreach strategies, facilitating online support sessions or workshops, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure that social impact considerations are integrated into investment-related activities. The position requires consistent communication via digital platforms and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and empathy in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling, case management, and psychosocial assessment skills, with the ability to support individuals and families in diverse circumstances.
- Experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with NGOs, government agencies, or social service providers.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to conduct remote sessions via phone or video.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation, prepare reports, and use digital tools and basic office software for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Knowledge of social welfare systems, financial literacy concepts, and resources that can help clients navigate economic and social challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in social work, community development, counseling, or related roles, preferably with exposure to vulnerable or marginalized populations.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity, ethical practice, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive support for people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage caseloads effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams when needed.
