About The Role
We are looking for a high-energy, ambitious, and content-obsessed Social Media Manager to own Techsnap’s social media presence end-to-end—strategy, content, community, performance, and budget across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
Even as an entry-level team member, you won't just be taking orders or executing tasks. You will own our brand voice. You will collaborate directly with our Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to build a repeatable content engine, launch new features, and tell Techsnap’s story to the world.
About Techsnap
Techsnap is building a modern, tech-driven platform designed to empower students, developers, and tech professionals with practical learning, industry insights, and career growth tools.
We are a fast-moving, ambitious team, and we want our community to see what we’re building through content that is as sharp, engaging, and innovative as our product.
What Winning Looks Like
- Category Leadership: Channels you manage become go-to resources in the Tech, EdTech, and Career growth space—measured by follower growth, reach, saves, and shares.
- Repeatable Content Engine: Every feature release, student success story, tech trend, and internal build update easily converts into engaging, multi-format social content.
- Lead & User Growth: Social media actively drives platform signups, active users, and community engagement, not just vanity impressions.
- Day-One Readiness: Every campaign, launch, or initiative goes live with a clear, channel-tailored social playbook.
What You'll Do
1. Strategy & Planning- Own the end-to-end social strategy across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X with platform-tailored approaches.
- Define content pillars, maintain format mixes, and hold a strict publishing schedule.
- Build and manage a dynamic content calendar tied to platform updates, trending tech topics, and product features.
- Stay ahead of platform algorithm updates and internet trends, adapting our plan proactively.
2. Content Creation & Production- Write sharp scripts, hooks, captions, thumbnail copy, and carousel storyboards in the Techsnap brand voice.
- Convert raw materials—tech news, tutorials, developer tips, user stories—into a high-volume pipeline (Reels, Shorts, Carousels, Memes, Tech summaries).
- Write clear creative briefs for graphic designers and video editors, ensuring all content is top quality before going live.
- Collaborate with student creators, tech influencers, and video editors to create viral Reels and Shorts.
- Hook & Retention Focus: Analyze viewer drop-offs, iterate on openers, kill underperforming formats, and scale winning content.
3. Channel Ownership- Instagram: Own growth across Reels, Carousels, Stories, and collaborations; leverage cross-posting with partners and creators.
- YouTube: Build our channel positioning; optimize packaging (titles, thumbnails, hooks, chapters, SEO), playlists, and the Shorts-to-long-form conversion funnel.
- LinkedIn & X: Build Techsnap’s brand awareness among tech enthusiasts, software engineers, and industry leaders.
- Community Engagement: Own comments, DMs, and community threads as a active growth lever and reputation management tool.
4. Partnerships & Collaborations- Build and nurture a network of student creators, campus ambassadors, and tech influencers who contribute to and amplify Techsnap content.
- Execute co-created series and takeover campaigns without diluting brand trust.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to source stories and translate technical concepts into accessible content.
5. Analytics & Reporting- Track and report on key metrics across all channels: reach, engagement, saves, shares, watch time, and sign-ups.
- Run structured post-mortems on top- and bottom-performing content to refine future bets.
- Benchmark Techsnap against top tech creators and category leaders.
- Present actionable performance reads to leadership.
What You'll Need
Must-haves- 0–1 year of experience in social media management, content marketing, or running a creator page/campus brand. Freshers with a proven track record of growing a personal page or university club account are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Demonstrated social growth or content portfolio you can point to and explain what made it work.
- Strong short-form video instincts: hook writing, trend awareness, and an understanding of video retention mechanics.
- Working knowledge of YouTube packaging (titles, thumbnails, SEO) and platform algorithms.
- Sharp writing skills with the ability to adjust tone across platforms (casual for Instagram/X, professional for LinkedIn).
- Comfort with metrics—able to read analytics and adjust content plans accordingly.
- Familiarity with scheduling and analytics platforms (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Buffer/Hootsuite).
- Willingness to step in front of the camera or create desktop videos when needed.
Nice-to-haves- Hands-on experience with lightweight design/editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, Canva, Figma) to build prototypes independently.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Canva AI, CapCut AI) to speed up ideation and production.
- Exposure to tech, coding, or developer-focused content.
- Experience taking a new social account or brand property from 0 to 1.
- Good understanding of basic SEO principles.
Traits We're Looking For
- Obsessively Online: You naturally consume tech content and instinctively know why a video went viral.
- Ownership Mindset: You take full responsibility for channel performance rather than just ticking off tasks.
- Fast & Meticulous: You move quickly without compromising on brand quality or details.
- Data-Informed & Creative: You balance bold creative ideas with logical analysis of performance data.
