Job details:
The Role
You’ll own Canvas UGC end to end building niche short-form accounts, managing a roster of creators, and driving content at scale. You’ll identify niches and formats, recruit and manage creators, shape scripts, ship content consistently, track performance, and use insights to improve what we make. You’ll also be on camera yourself testing new formats, creating content, and setting the standard for quality.
The role combines creative thinking, creator management, and a data-driven approach. You should know what makes content work, communicate clearly with creators, and treat every post as an experiment.
What You'll Do
- Own the accounts: niches, positioning, posting cadence, and the weekly operating rhythm.
- Recruit, vet, onboard and retain the creator roster. Keep enough creators active to hit real volume every week and keep the bar high on who stays.
- Research formats. Know what is working in English learning and adjacent niches, in India and globally, understand why it works, and keep a live bank of formats and hooks worth testing.
- Write the scripts and briefs. Clear enough for a creator to shoot without endless back and forth, and adapted per creator, per language, and per audience.
- Run the pipeline: brief, chase, review, approve or reject fast, and keep volume moving.
- Track every post: views, watch time, retention, engagement, and installs wherever they are trackable. Know your numbers per creator, per format, and per account.
- Close the loop with creators. Tell them specifically what worked, what did not, and why. Kill formats that do not travel, and scale the ones that do with new hooks, creators and languages.
- Structure how creators are paid, against both consistent output and actual performance.
- Push organic winners into paid with the performance team, and feed paid learnings back into what creators shoot next.
- Hire and lead a small pod as the function scales.
Make content yourself
- Shoot your own videos regularly. Ideas, hooks, on camera delivery, all of it.
- Test formats yourself, if needed, before they go out to the roster, so you brief from experience rather than theory.
- Shoot reference cuts that show a creator exactly what you mean.
- Work closely with our editors to package what you and the roster shoot. You have editing support here, and knowing your way around a timeline helps, though your real value is deciding what gets made and why.
Alongside that
- Supernova's main handles sit with the Social Media Marketing Manager, and you will partner closely with them.
- Contribute ideas, formats and content to the main handles, and help hold quality and brand consistency.
- Own influencer partnerships: outreach, negotiation, deliverables, and results.
- Contribute to ads, including appearing in them.
- Manage creators and partners as people, not just deliverables. Set expectations, give feedback, keep everyone motivated and producing.
- Keep leadership in the loop on what is working and what you are changing.
Must-haves
- 3+ years in social, content, or creator and influencer marketing, with real experience recruiting, briefing and running creators or a creator program for a brand or page.
- Short form scripting. You can write a hook and a 30 to 60 second script that holds attention and explain why it holds.
- Format instinct. You spot formats early and can break down the mechanics of why something worked, rather than only copying it.
- Strong on camera. Shooting should feel natural to you, not draining.
- A track record of content that performed, with work you can show.
- Analytical. You set up tracking, read the numbers honestly, and iterate. Comfortable saying out loud when something you made did not work.
- Organized program manager. On top of follow ups, and comfortable running many creators and moving parts at once.
- Ready to lead a small team. Prior people management is a plus, not a requirement.
- Strong English, spoken and written.
- High ownership. You drive things forward without being chased.
Good to have
- Multi language across Indian languages (Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil). This weighs heavily with us. Most of our growth is regional, and someone who can research, script and brief in more than one Indian language will scale this far faster.
- Your own public page north of 5K followers, or a few videos past 1M views. This also weighs heavily. If you have grown an audience yourself, you already understand most of what this role is asking for.
- Have run a Canvas UGC, brand owned account, ambassador, or paid creator program before.
- Consumer app, or a fast converting low ticket product where content directly drives installs.
- Performance basics: CPM, CAC, install tracking, and how organic content feeds paid.
- Comfortable in Cap Cut, Premiere or similar for quick cuts and references.
Why this role
- You own a function, not a task list. What gets made, who makes it, and what we do next are your calls.
- Short feedback loops. You ship, the numbers come back within days, and you act on them. You will rarely wonder whether your work mattered.
- You stay creative and hands on. This is not the role where you stop making things and only manage people.
- Content is how we grow, so this work is visible, it matters internally, and you will not have to fight to be heard.
