About the Role -
Do you live for social media — clocking algorithm shifts before they trend, and always ready with an idea that stops the scroll? At Simply Nam, we're looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to bring our brand's voice to life, every single day. This role owns the day-to-day heartbeat of our digital platforms — planning and creating content, covering events as they happen, and keeping our community engaged and talking. You'll bring sharp platform instincts, strategic thinking, and creative energy to the table — pitching ideas, shaping formats, and turning campaigns into scroll-worthy reality — helping grow a brand presence that feels as real as it is beautiful.
1. Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
- Own and plan the social media content calendar; develop and implement social media & content strategies across digital channels, primarily Instagram and YouTube, with support on Pinterest/Snapchat/LinkedIn as needed, ensuring consistency with brand messaging and goals.
- Create innovative and high-quality content for these platforms, and collaborate with Namrata's social team to capitalize on and build borrowed brand equity — bringing her personal page's reach and credibility into Simply Nam's own content and community.
- Create content/copy for all social media handles, maximizing reach and engagement.
- Work with creative teams to produce compelling, on-brand assets (videos, images, ads) tailored for different social media and paid platforms — and where it helps move fast, a willingness to shoot quick, low-effort content (BTS, hacks, application demos) on iPhone.
- Manage timelines and coordination for campaign deliverables, including asset creation, adaptation, and rollout.
- Write clear, actionable creative briefs — objective, format, references, deliverables — that the content team can execute with ease.
- Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table and build content strategies that support and amplify both short-term campaigns and long-term marketing initiatives — leading development and execution of content across platforms through regular brainstorms with the team.
- Stay on top of content marketing trends and bring new ideas for us to explore and test
- Help develop standards, processes, and tools to drive greater efficiencies in how we work and operate as a cross-functional team.
2. Analytics & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media assets and campaigns across platforms, identifying key trends and insights.
- Use data to assess the effectiveness of assets and provide actionable recommendations to optimize future campaigns and content strategies.
3. Community Engagement
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster positive relationships across social channels
- Stay responsive to real-time events, cultural moments, and social conversations that align with Simply Nam's personality, flagging opportunities to team for quick-turn content.
- Run proactive community-building initiatives — polls, prompts, UGC call-outs, consumer sessions — that grow sentiment and engagement, not just maintain it.
- Surface community sentiment and recurring patterns (loved products, common complaints, requests) to relevant teams.
4. Events
- Attend and cover relevant events, both internal and external, to create real-time content for social media platforms.
- Assist in strategizing and producing event-related content (live videos, behind-the-scenes, interviews) that resonates with the Simply Nam community and enhances brand visibility.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Genuine interest in and passion for the beauty industry someone who's naturally curious about trends, techniques, and what's happening in the space, not just executing content about it.
- 5+ years of experience in social media or content creation, ideally within e-commerce or beauty/fashion. Strong copywriting skills comfortable writing platform-native captions, scripts, and campaign copy independently, and stewarding brand voice, grammar, and messaging consistency.
- Proficient with content creation and editing tools (Reels editing apps, Canva, InShot), and comfortable using AI tools to support ideation, drafting, and day-to-day content production.
- Strong understanding of social platforms especially Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn including how algorithms and format conventions differ across them.
- Data-driven mindset actively uses native platform insights (Instagram/YouTube analytics) to guide content and format decisions, not just create and post.
- Experience managing end-to-end social execution, including community engagement, event coverage.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail able to adapt one idea across multiple formats paired with working knowledge of content strategy across digital channels.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, comfortable coordinating across content, campaign, and event workstreams.
