Role Description The Site Engineer – Interior Fit-out will oversee and coordinate interior construction activities at project sites in Chennai, ensuring work is executed according to design, quality, safety, and time-line requirements. This full-time, on-site role involves supervising contractors and workers, monitoring daily progress, and resolving technical or coordination issues promptly. The role includes reviewing drawings and specifications, checking measurements on site, and ensuring interior fit-out elements such as partitions, finishes, joinery, and services are installed as per standards. The Site Engineer will liaise with architects, consultants, vendors, and clients, prepare site reports, track material usage, and support timely completion of project milestones. The position requires proactive problem-solving and consistent presence on site to maintain quality and smooth execution.
Qualifications
Supervise day-to-day interior fit-out works at the project site.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, designers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Execute work as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
Inspect workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained.
Coordinate material delivery and verify the quality and quantity of materials received.
Resolve on-site technical issues and provide practical solutions.
Prepare daily site progress reports and update project documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors.
Verify measurements and assist in preparing bills and work completion reports.
Ensure proper handover of completed work to the client.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in interior fit-out projects (commercial, residential, retail, or office interiors).
Good understanding of construction methods, finishing works, and interior materials.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
Knowledge of site execution, quality control, and safety practices.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
