Role Description The Senior Travel Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dindigul, responsible for delivering end-to-end travel consultation and exceptional service to individual, group, corporate, and franchise customers. This role involves meeting clients to understand their travel preferences, designing tailored itineraries, and recommending suitable destinations, packages, and add-on services. The Senior Travel Consultant will coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, tours, transfers, and insurance, while ensuring accurate reservations, documentation, and compliance with visa and travel requirements. Day-to-day tasks include managing bookings through GDS or online platforms, handling changes and cancellations, responding promptly to inquiries, and resolving service issues with a customer-centric approach. The role also requires close collaboration with tour managers, operations, and franchise partners, monitoring promotions and special deals, and contributing to revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong travel consulting experience, including destination knowledge, itinerary planning, and package customization.
- Proficiency in travel management and coordination, covering international and domestic trips, group tours, and corporate travel.
- Hands-on experience with travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation, transfers, insurance, and ancillary services.
- Excellent customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally.
- Competence in reservations and booking tools (GDS or online platforms), with attention to accuracy and timelines.
- Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Tamil is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in a travel agency or tour operations environment, preferably in international tourism.
- Ability to work on-site in Dindigul, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, CRM tools) and comfort working with digital documentation and online portals
