Role Description The Senior Student Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for guiding prospective students through their overseas education journey. The role includes conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, and recommending suitable countries, universities, and programs aligned with academic background, interests, and career goals. The advisor will explain admission processes, documentation requirements, visa procedures, and financial planning options, while ensuring accurate and timely information. Daily responsibilities also include responding to student and parent inquiries, maintaining student records, coordinating with internal teams for applications and coaching, and supporting marketing or outreach activities such as seminars and information sessions. The role requires proactive follow-up with students, consistent customer service, and adherence to Valmiki Group’s standards of professionalism and ethical guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build trust, manage expectations, and support students and families throughout the counseling process.
- Proficiency in Student Counseling and Education advisory, including academic profile evaluation, course selection, and guidance on international education pathways.
- Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written) to clearly explain complex processes, present information in sessions, and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant educational background, preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in overseas education consulting or academic advising, ideally at a senior or lead level.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfort with using CRM or student management systems, MS Office tools, and online communication platforms.
- Knowledge of major international study destinations, admission requirements, and visa processes is highly beneficial.
