Are you excited by challenges and someone who seeks to find solution? We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join our Catastrophe Modelling team at Guy Carpenter. This role is based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Support the assessment of cyber catastrophe risk across client portfolios, industries, and geographies
- Assist in running, reviewing, and interpreting catastrophe model outputs and scenario analyses
- Contribute to the analysis of cyber accumulation risk, loss potential, and portfolio exposure
- Clean, validate, and manipulate large and complex datasets to support modelling and reporting activities
- Assist in the preparation of analytics, summaries, and presentations for clients, markets, and internal stakeholders
- Review and reconcile exposure data to improve quality, consistency, and model readiness
- Support the development of assumptions, input datasets, and analytical workflows used in cyber risk analysis
- Translate technical analysis into clear, concise findings and visual outputs for non-technical audiences
- Assist in identifying key drivers of cyber risk, emerging trends, and areas of accumulation concern
- Contribute to the enhancement of internal modelling processes, data tools, and reporting capabilities
- Stay informed on developments in cyber threats, insurance market trends, and catastrophe modelling methodologies
What do you need to have:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- A degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, computer science or a related discipline
- Strong programming and Microsoft skills and experience working with data
- Ability to clean, reconcile, and interpret data from multiple sources
- Familiarity with data quality checks, validation processes, and structured analysis
- Good understanding of how to summarise and present analytical results clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving
- Interest in cyber risk, reinsurance, catastrophe modelling, or insurance analytics
What makes you stand out:
- Programming skills in Python, SQL, or R
- Experience with data transformation, automation, or scripting
- Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tool
- Understanding of cyber event types, accumulation risk, and reinsurance structures
- Experience preparing charts, tables, dashboards, or written analysis for internal or client use
- Knowledge of model output interpretation, scenario analysis, or exposure management
- Experience in catastrophe modelling at a (re)insurance organisation
