You will be a software test engineer responsible for the automation of customer software products in Automotive Telematics / 4G/ 5G NR Connectivity Modules. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding problem solving, communication and team playing skills.
Experience: 6–10 years
About the Role
Own the Linux BSP for WNC's automotive-grade 4G/ 5G NR NAD modules (telematics, V2X, eCall) — from bootloader through kernel to platform enablement, meeting automotive-grade reliability and power constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and port Linux BSP (bootloader, kernel, drivers) for new SoC/chipset bring-up, including device tree development
- Build and debug drivers for modem/RF, GNSS, UART/SPI/I2C, USB, and PMIC
- Debug boot failures, kernel panics, and driver issues using JTAG and kernel-level tools
- Support board bring-up (EVT/DVT/PVT) and liaise with chipset vendor FAE teams
- Contribute to BSP architecture decisions
Required Skills
- 6–10 years Linux BSP development, 3–4+ years in automotive/telecom-grade modules
- Strong Linux kernel internals (memory management, driver model, device tree)
- Bootloader experience (U-Boot/LK) and C-based driver development across common peripherals
- Qualcomm/MediaTek automotive or IoT chipset experience (Snapdragon Automotive, X55/X62-class modems preferred)
- Yocto/OpenEmbedded or Buildroot for custom image builds
- Hands-on hardware debugging (JTAG, oscilloscope, crash dump analysis)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or ECT or MCA
- 6+ years of work experience in Embedded projects across leading firms
- Ability to learn new skills, organize, and prioritize work
- Readiness to work from office on all the working days
