About Giramille
Giramille is an international children’s and family entertainment company developing animation, music, stories, and characters for global audiences. We seek one Senior Scriptwriter to act as Head Writer for 108 original seven-minute episodes, ensuring narrative unity, character consistency, quality, and continuity, subject to Giramille’s final approval.
Creative benchmark
Our primary benchmark for narrative excellence is Bluey. We seek authentic family observations, multigenerational humor, everyday situations, imaginative play, emotional connection, concise dialogue, visual storytelling, meaningful conflicts, memorable endings, and rewatchability. This is solely a quality and family co-viewing benchmark. All creative elements must be original and aligned with Giramille. No copying is permitted.
Preferred professional profile
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Verifiable credits in children’s or family animation
- Experience as a Head Writer, Story Editor, Series Creator, or animation writer
- Experience with preschool, family co-viewing, short-form series, and seven-minute episodes
- Command of comedy, emotion, character-driven and visual storytelling
- Knowledge of 2D cut-out production, rigs, and production feasibility
- International experience and multicultural sensitivity
- Native or fully professional written English
- Previous work with Disney, Pixar, BBC, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Universal, DreamWorks, Netflix, Mattel, Hasbro, or comparable companies
- Relevant teaching, mentoring, or academic experience
Head Writer responsibilities
The selected professional will:
- Review, organize, and improve Giramille’s existing series bible
- Strengthen the narrative and emotional identity of every character
- Establish the editorial and narrative architecture of all 108 episodes
- Develop and write original, age-appropriate scripts in English
- Turn family situations into engaging stories with multigenerational humor
- Integrate educational values naturally
- Coordinate the narrative integration of existing songs
- Maintain continuity across characters, episodes, and production blocks
- Join editorial meetings and a dedicated WhatsApp group, validating each episode with Giramille
- Review storyboards and animatics from a narrative perspective and revise scripts within the contracted rounds
- Deliver organized, versioned, editable files
Series bible improvement
The Head Writer must improve the existing bible before full episode development. The revised bible must define:
Narrative universe: concept, audience, emotional proposition, tone, rules, recurring locations, creative limits, child-safety and family principles, and co-viewing strategy.
Characters: personality, maturity, wants, needs, strengths, flaws, fears, motivations, behavioral limits, voice, vocabulary, humor, reactions, relationships, function, conflicts, story potential, continuity, and growth.
Episode structure: opening, situation, objective, inciting incident, escalation, emotional turn, climax, resolution, payoff, timing, scene count, pacing, and balance of action, dialogue, humor, and emotion.
Editorial architecture: themes, character matrix, recurring environments, balanced protagonists, repetition control, continuity, and organization into 36 production blocks.
Bible improvement is included in the total contract value.

Mandatory deliverables per episode
The fee for each approved episode includes:
Story development: premise, logline, synopsis, emotional objective, educational value, characters, outline, beats, first treatment, full script, and approved version.
Screenplay: dialogue, actions, emotions, acting notes, expressions, eye-lines, visual gags, humor, interactions, pacing, transitions, continuity, emotional resolution, and payoff.
Production adaptation: writing suitable for 2D cut-out, existing rigs, controlled character counts, asset reuse, feasible actions, required new assets, and clarity for storyboard and animatic teams.
Music and sound: when required, organic song integration, transitions, narrative continuation, and basic SFX, Foley, silence, and atmosphere cues.
Files: professional screenplay format, PDF, editable source, Word or equivalent, Final Draft-compatible file when requested, numbered versions, and organized folders.
Revisions
Each episode includes two revision rounds at no additional cost:
- Editorial round: structure, characters, tone, dialogue, humor, emotion, brand values, duration, and production feasibility.
- Storyboard or animatic round: narrative clarity, pacing, action, dialogue volume, continuity, scene simplification, emotional payoff, and changes required for the story to work in animation.
Minor spelling, formatting, and continuity corrections identified before final approval are also included.
The Head Writer provides narrative review but does not produce or supervise storyboard, animatic, voices, localization, lip sync, animation, post-production, sound, or mastering.
Expected narrative standard
Every episode must tell a complete, internationally accessible story in seven minutes, with a recognizable situation, strong premise, clear objective, visual storytelling, age-appropriate humor, a layer for parents, positive family relationships, natural learning, and meaningful resolution.
The scripts must be safe, welcoming, joyful, family-oriented, feasible for 2D cut-out production, and fully consistent with Giramille’s identity.
Materials provided by Giramille
Giramille will provide the existing bible, character information, model sheets, visual references, rigs, available assets, editorial and brand guidelines, songs, musical animations, creative direction, consolidated feedback, and approvals.
Payment and intellectual property
There will be no advance payment. Payments will be made per approved episode or production block after delivery, validation, and approval, according to the contract’s objective criteria and schedule.
The engagement includes bible improvement, narrative architecture, premises, scripts, necessary editorial meetings, two revision rounds, narrative review, editable files, and full rights assignment.
The contract is Work Made for Hire with full assignment of all applicable rights. Every bible, premise, outline, script, dialogue, character element, location, prop, gag, revision, source file, and intermediate version created will belong exclusively to Giramille.
Strict prohibition of artificial intelligence
No AI may be used at any stage, including generative AI, large language models, automated creation or rewriting, translation, creative review, image or audio generation, or uploading Giramille materials to AI platforms.
Giramille materials may not train, test, or improve AI systems. All work must be original and human-created. Contractual certification is required; violations may cause rejection, termination, and contractual remedies.
