We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP FICA Consultant to lead and execute end-to-end implementation and ECC to S/4HANA migration/conversion projects. Key responsibilities include functional blueprinting, system configuration, data migration, and integration across related SAP modules.

We are seeking an experienced Sr SAP FICA (Financial Contract Accounting) Consultant to join our enterprise IT team. The ideal candidate will have an overall IT/SAP experience of around 10 years, with a strong core specialization of 5 to 7 years in SAP FICA.
A primary focus for this role is leading and executing end-to-end implementation and ECC to S/4HANA migration/conversion projects. You will play a crucial role in functional blueprinting, system configuration, data migration, and integration across related SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
- S/4HANA Migration & Conversion:
- Execute functional stream activities for SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration (Brownfield, Greenfield, or Selective Data Transition).
- Manage Business Partner (BP) conversion, data cleanup, contract account adjustments, and migration of open items/history into S/4HANA FICA.
- Perform impact analysis on existing FICA customizations and standard processes during S/4HANA upgrades/migrations.
- Core FICA Configuration & Implementation:
- Design, configure, and maintain core SAP FICA sub-modules: Contract Partner / Contract Account setup, Posting and Documents, Payments (Payment Lot, Direct Debit), Dunning, Interest Calculation, Security Deposits, Returns Processing, Write-offs, and Account Balance Display.
- Configure and optimize General Ledger (FI-GL) integration, revenue posting, and reconciliation processes.
- Design and execute mass processing activities (Payment Run, Dunning Run, Mass Changes).
- Integration & Solution Architecture:
- Integrate SAP FICA seamlessly with adjacent modules/systems such as SAP SD, FI-CO, BRIM (SOM/CC/CI)..
- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP developers) to draft high-quality Functional Specifications (WRICEF) for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and workflows.
- Project Execution & Stakeholder Management:
- Run requirement-gathering workshops, fit-gap analyses, and present solution designs to key business stakeholders.
- Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing (UAT), Cutover activities, and Hypercare support.
- Mentor functional team members and establish best practices for FICA operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Background:
- Total Experience: Overall 10+ years of professional experience in SAP ERP solutions.
- FICA Core Experience: 5 to 7 years of dedicated, hands-on functional experience in SAP FICA.
- Migration Experience: At least 1 full lifecycle project involving SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration/conversion strongly preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Deep expertise in FICA processes: Master Data (BP/CA), Invoicing/Posting, Payment handling, Electronic Bank Statements (EBS), Dunning, Interest, and GL Reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA FICA features, standard CDS views, and new General Ledger integration.
- Proven expertise in legacy data migration techniques (LTMC/Migrate Your Data app, LSMW, BAPIs) specific to FICA open items and master records.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific FICA implementations (e.g., Utilities, Telecom, Insurance, Public Sector, or Subscription Business Models).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Proven ability to work in agile and waterfall project methodologies.
Preferred / Good to Have
- SAP S/4HANA Certification (Financial Contract Accounting or S/4HANA Finance).
- Exposure to SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management / Convergent Invoicing).
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications related to FICA / Billing.
