Role Description The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing all cost-related aspects of architectural and interior design projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), monitoring project costs, and ensuring that budgets are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves cost planning, tracking expenditures, and producing regular cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, contractors, and suppliers to support accurate estimates, value engineering, and financial control. The position also requires reviewing contracts, assessing variations, and advising on cost risks to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cost control and cost management, with the ability to maintain budgets and manage financial risk.
- Hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, and updating BOQs for architectural and interior projects.
- Proficiency in cost planning and cost reporting, including forecasting, variance analysis, and periodic financial summaries.
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and local market rates, preferably within the Hyderabad region.
- Ability to interpret architectural and interior design drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Proficiency with relevant estimation and cost management software and MS Office tools.
- Prior experience in a quantity surveying role within architecture, interior design, or construction is highly desirable.
